The Indiana Fever is all set for the upcoming season following an impressive performance in the 2025 season. The franchise welcomes healthy Caitlin Clark after an injury-hit last season. While the coach took a cautious approach using the star in the pre-season games, she even revealed that the player will be involved only in necessary reps in practice.
But Clark mentioned that she is not sitting out in any practice sessions and will be part of as much action as possible. But in the games, the coach is looking to use her differently to keep the player fresh.

Stephanie White Looking To Play Caitlin Clark Off-Ball
The Indiana Fever might be a top contender for the championship, but they need to address many aspects when facing a deep, talented opponent. Since the 2024 season, opponents have been physical on the playmaker, trying to stop her. Now in the third year, the coach came up with a plan to deal with this defense as she recently opened up on the usage of CC in games.
“The way that teams play Caitlin is different from everyone. To alleviate some pressure, we need to get her off the ball sometimes… & not all the time. It’s a way to help her load management, to alleviate the extra stuff that is put on her shoulders in a course of a game,” White said in the press conference.
