The Indiana Fever roster has been an area of interest for the fans. Last year, despite the absence of key players, Fever reached the semifinals. As a new WNBA season is just around the corner, Indiana’s roster got a big boost as Caitlin Clark is making her much-awaited return.
Ahead of the regular season, Stephanie White’s team had a couple of preseason games. Earlier, playing against the Dallas Wings, the Fever suffered a narrow loss. But when they hosted the Nigerian national team, the result was enough to put a wide smile back onto the Fever fans’ faces.

How Did Caitlin Clark Fare Against The Nigerian National Team?
In the last preseason game, Clark dropped 21 points playing for only 16 points. While her performance got a lot of attention, the 2-time WNBA All-Star failed to take her team to victory. But this time around, it was an entirely different story. Logging in for just 13 minutes this Saturday, the 2024 Rookie of the Year dropped 12 points alongside four valuable assists. She also shot 2-for-3 from long range.
Speaking about the game, Indiana dominated. As the offense looked solid, White’s team led by 41 points at the break. Continuing their surge throughout the game, Fever closed out the game with a 105-57 victory. Apart from Clark, another name that impressed in the game was Aliyah Boston. Playing for just 10 minutes, Boston dropped six assists with 2-for-3 shooting.

Additionally, the likes of Kelsey Mitchell, too, had a fine game. Leading the team’s scoring charts, Mitchell dropped 17 points while converting all of her attempts from the three-point range. As Clark, Mitchell, and Makayla Timpson got to the double digits, Stephanie White was particularly pleased with how Boston performed.

Aliyah Boston Earns Coach’s Praise As Caitlin Clark And Co. Look Prepared
Following the game, the Fever head coach looked pretty impressed with her team. After all, with most of her important players getting back to form, the Fever will have a good chance of aiming for a championship run this year.

Heaping praises on Aliyah Boston, White said, “AB’s game has expanded. She played point forward for us last year, and when you have two playmakers that are screeners, it makes defenses make a choice.”
“I think that we’ve got to be creative in ways that we can get one another shots and create space. I think that we have an opportunity with those three on the floor to do a lot of different things,” White added.
Thus, as Clark and her teammates shine in the preseason, fans will be eager to find out how they fare once the regular season games begin.
