The Indiana Fever are ready for the court once again, and so are thousands of cameras. Everything about the team, especially star player Caitlin Clark, becomes the news, and fans want to know every minute detail from the Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Lexie Hull also opens up about the heavy scrutiny of playing alongside the former Iowa star, as every single move gets media attention.
The 2024 rookie also knows this, has experienced it for much of her career, and when reporters asked her about using the left sleeve during practice, she smiled and gave her answer.

Caitlin Clark Provides Real Reason For Use Of Leg Sleeve
Cameras caught the playmaker wearing a full sleeve on her left leg during a recent practice. The leg sleeve follows a minor knee injury she sustained in a game against the Dallas Wings. Interestingly, athletes use similar long leg sleeves for various reasons, including warmth, safety to body joints, stability, compression, or even fashion.
Answering the question, CC just said, “Just a little compression on the leg, I don’t know.” The answer highlights that her medical team asked the player to play with the sleeve.

Earlier, coach Stephanie White answered a question on Clark’s Sleeve, where she called it a fashion. And nothing about the injury.

The coach is actually looking to protect the player from injury and has a perfect plan for the same during regular-season games.
Stephanie White With Special Plan For Caitlin Clark
The Fever coach might have coached the 2024 rookie in just 13 games during the 2025 season. She is well aware of her abilities and impact on the game, and at the same time understands how opponents play her, trying to slow her down. With that in mind, the coach has a special plan for the 2026 season to lower the load on her superstar playmaker.
“The way that teams play Caitlin is different from everyone. To alleviate some pressure, we need to get her off the ball sometimes… & not all the time. It’s a way to help her load management, to alleviate the extra stuff that is put on her shoulders in a course of a game,” White said in the press conference.
