The 2026 season is finally here with Caitlin Clark and her Indiana Fever once again on the floor, trying to re-create the magic they did a season ago. It was a fighting effort and a great offensive display from the Indy team, but a loss hurts more than anything. Yet one thing that was more concerning in the game was CC’s constant visits to physios in the tunnel during the game.
While Clark cleared the doubts around her leg sleeves usage during the training camp, the coach opened up about her constant visits to the tunnel.

Stephanie White Talks About Catilin Clark’s Visits To Medical Staff During Game
The Indiana Fever might have lost the close contest to the Wings’ offensive firepower, but fans were happy to see the team not lose its touch that put them in the semifinals a season ago. Yet one concern was injury to the 2024 rookie after her medical attention. During the press conference, coach White explained the purpose of those visits and said they were not related to any injury.
“She has adjusted her body. When we’re all really young, we don’t learn proper mechanics, and then it doesn’t come out until something happens. This is going to be an ongoing thing. Not just her. We’ve had multiple players who’ve gone back and make sure that the body’s working,” White said.
Fever coach Stephanie White called those moments "part of maintaining the body."

“Hip alignment gets off. Rib alignment gets off, and it’s part of being a professional athlete. Nothing outside of that. We wouldn’t have played her 30 minutes if she wasn’t okay,” the Fever coach added.

While the player also looked healthy and fit on the floor and in the press conference, the new strategy certainly was a shocking move for the fans. As for the loss, the hosts had two chances to save the game, but Clark and Kelsey Mitchell missed their last three-point attempts, leaving the game on the wrong side of the result.
Caitlin Clark Stays Positive Despite The Loss
The post-game interview cleared up the picture around the Fever locker room, with the team looking to do better than last season but also needing to take care of their star players.
After the loss, the 24-year-old guard was happy with the team’s performance and mentioned that they are ready to take on opponents. “It was a great test. It was a great game. Our locker room was positive afterwards. So we are not gonna hang our heads,” the playmaker said in the post-game interview.
