The 2026 WNBA season will finally be underway, with preseason games starting last week in April. The broadcasters have already booked regular-season games and the playoff games, with the league striking a massive deal earlier in the 2025 season. Prime Video also upgraded its broadcasting team, adding two Hall of Famers.
The league is also looking to make the most of possible connections with fans and is using its digital platform to attract them.

WNBA App to Allow Free Streaming Of Pre-Season Games
Earlier in the offseason, the WNBA announced a major upgrade to its app, making a global ID for its subscribers. And now the league is taking a step further, adding another feature for the fans.
As per the update, the WNBA will stream all 2026 preseason games for free on the WNBA App. Preseason begins Saturday, April 25, and runs through Sunday, May 3.

Apart from this, WNBA ID members receive a 25% discount on WNBAStore.com merchandise during the preseason games. The new, free WNBA ID program provides personalized content, including the ability to follow favorite teams and players.

The games will include many high-profile matchups, including Wings vs. Fever and Liberty vs. Fever. Each franchise will play at least two preseason games, allowing them to test the training camp roster and finalize the team for the season.
